Nominees announced, PG readers to decide the winners
For Immediate Release
Bath, UK – 11 th February 2014 – Steel Media is giddy with excitement at being able to announce the launch of the annual Pocket Gamer Awards.
As with past editions which have proved hugely popular with the readership, the Pocket Gamer Awards 2014 ( http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/pgawards2014.asp) celebrate the excellence delivered by the mobile and handheld industry during the previous year.
As such, anything released on app stores or reviewed by Pocket Gamer between 1 st January and 31 st December 2013 was open to consideration by the editorial team during the selection of the finalists.
An increased number of nominees have been split into ‘Game of the Year’ categories for each of the leading formats, as well as genre-specific sections, before rounding off with slots for the year’s most accomplished publisher and developer.
But whereas the PG team has shortlisted the nominees, as in last year’s awards it will be the site’s readers who will decide on the winners. Voting for each of the categories is now open and will remain so until 12pm GMT on 7 th March 2014.
As has become tradition, the Pocket Gamer Awards 2014 winners will then be announced at a special event during the Game Developers Conference, which takes place in San Francisco between 17 th and 21 st March.
This year’s Pocket Gamer Awards are sponsored by Chukong, Kamcord, and Everplay.
