Sports Car Challenge 2 dashes onto the App Store

Volkswagen Group (China) and Fishlabs Entertainment release the successor to their 12MM downloads hit Sports Car Challenge on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. As of now, Sports Car Challenge 2 is available on the App Store via http://bit.ly/SCC2-iOS-EN as a free download.

Peking, China / Hamburg, Germany - October 25th, 2013: The Volkswagen Group (China) and Fishlabs Entertainment heave their fruitful long-term cooperation to a whole new level with the release of Sports Car Challenge 2, the highly anticipated follower of the multi-award-winning 3D racing simulation Sports Car Challenge. Ever since its release on the App Store in November 2011, the initial Sports Car Challenge has enthralled millions of fans worldwide with its high-end production values, exceptional quality and spot-on execution. All in all, it has won no less than four prestigious marketing awards on three different continents. With an extended pool of cars and additional gameplay features, as well as completely overhauled 3D graphics and all-new visual effects, Sports Car Challenge 2 is now set to kick in right where its predecessor left off. Besides the afore-mentioned enhancements, the 7th brand game collaboration between Fishlabs and Volkswagen to date offers its players authentic engine sounds, realistic driving physics and an intriguingly close attention to detail – all realized with the Hamburg-based studio’s proprietary ABYSS3® gaming engine.

Thanks to 14 exclusive super sports cars by six of the most renowned brands of the Volkswagen Group – ranging from Audi, Bentley and Bugatti to Lamborghini, Porsche and Volkswagen – the vehicle fleet of Sports Car Challenge 2 leaves nothing to be desired. The newest addition to the title’s selected motor pool is no other than the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, the fastest and most powerful roadster in the world. Combining the elegance of Grand Sport with the performance of Super Sport, the 1200hp Veyron Vitesse reaches a top speed of 255mph and speeds from zero to sixty-two in a mere 2.6 seconds. In Sports Car Challenge 2 you can drive the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and 13 other high-profile super sports cars right there on your smartphone or table and speed them across the asphalt of five demanding race tracks, including the legendary Shanghai Audi International Circuit or the beautiful city of Singapore by night. The race for the top positions of the global leader boards has officially begun.

Besides two gameplay modes already known from the original Sports Car Challenge, namely slalom and braking contest, the second installment of Volkswagen and Fishlabs’ highly successful 3D racing simulation also contains a number of brand-new features. The newly added ghost race, for example, enables the players to compete against their own record times in the forms of phantom cars. While doing so, the direct competition provides for additional motivation to reach the finish line even faster than before. Another new feature is the trophy room, which puts the players’ achievements and successes to display. And last but not least, the showroom has also been enhanced in order to ensure an even more detailed depiction of all 14 cars in the game.

Features:

·         High-end racing experience for iOS

Photorealistic 3D graphics and authentic engine sounds

·         Different game modes: Time Trial with Ghost Race, Slalom & Braking Contest

·         14 exclusive sports cars by world-famous brands like Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche and Volkswagen

·         5 international race tracks with differing light settings, road covers and altitude differences

·         Broad variety of achievements and global leaderboards

All gamers eager to take place behind the virtual wheel of a lightning-fast super sports car on their smartphone or tablet are recommended to download Sports Car Challenge 2 from the App Store via http://bit.ly/SCC2-iOS-EN entirely free of charge. Running the app requires iOS 7.
