Razer as the official broadcast sponsor of Intel Extreme Masters

Razer enters a co-operation with ESL TV– Five live events around the world broadcasted LIVE and in HD– 635,000 US Dollar in total prize money of the league

Cologne, September 30, 2011– ESL TV, the web TV service of the Electronic Sports League (ESL), the largest eSports league in Europe, announces its co-operation with Razer, a computer hardware manufacturer specializing in products specifically marketed to gamers. The collaboration will focus on the live broadcast of the events of the Intel Extreme Masters, the global league of the video game champions, and will launch this weekend (October 1– 5) in Guangzhou, China– the host city of the second Global Challenge of the tournament. With 635,000 US Dollar in prize money this season the league features world‘s best gamers competing in StarCraft 2, Counter-Strike 1.6 and League of Legends. ESL TV, supported by Razer, will broadcast all the remaining events of the Intel Extreme Masters season 2011/12 LIVE and in High Definition.

Global Challenge Guangzhou, the first live event of the Intel Extreme Masters 2011/12 supported by Razer, follows a very successful stop of the league at gamescom 2011 in Cologne, Germany. ESL TV broadcasted the event in several languages to over 140 countries surpassing the previously established streaming record by a factor of five.

Intel Extreme Masters is the global league of video game champions organised since 2006. The best professional gamers from Europe, Asia and America struggle for high prize money and the World Champion title. Live tournaments at the world's largest IT and gaming conventions feature the top performers of the season - global stars in eSports.
