Version management software outfit sees tool join Technology Alliance Partner programme

Version management tools company Perforce has had its Versioning Engine approved as 'VMware ready'.

The designation indicates that Perforce's tech is now part of the can be found on the VMware Solution Exchange, which sees products approved as compatible with VMware cloud solutions made available through the Technology Alliance Partner program.

"By using Perforce with VMware vSphere enterprises can benefit from more efficient resource allocation, increased service levels, optimised storage use and lower costs," said Randy DeFauw, technical marketing manager at Perforce Software. "While Perforce has been deployed on virtual machines for years, this certification shows our commitment to supporting enterprise virtualisation infrastructures."

VMware's business is built around virtualisation and cloud infrastructure, with a view to supporting companies as they adopt a cloud model.
