Developer behind iOS success appearing at one-day conference

The developer behind CSR Racing will present the second keynote at next month’s F2P Summit.

Jason Avent, managing director of Brighton-based studio Boss Alien, will explain how its collaboration with NaturalMotion transformed a bunch of console developers into chart-topping iOS experts in just one year.

“I really enjoyed the F2P summit last year as an attendee and I’m excited this year to have something to contribute after the break-out success of our studio’s first game, CSR Racing on iOS,” said Avent.

“We’ve now been running the game as a live service for several months and have successfully used metrics data, A/B testing and live updates to improve the game and its performance.

“I intend to share with delegates what we've learned as our team transitioned from triple-A console game development to freemium on mobile and topped the world’s app store charts.”

Pascal Zuta and Nicholas Lovell have also been confirmed as speakers at the conference, which takes place at Rich Mix in London on September 26th.

Zuta will look at the international pattern of free to play games, while Lovell aims to provide “15 simple rules to make your F2P game more fun, more popular and more profitable”.

The three industry figures join a line up that already includes a keynote from King.com’s CMO Alex Dale and presentations from Kwalee CEO and founder David Darling and Playfuel’s Ian Baverstock.
