Senior Sound Designer
Want to work for one of the rising stars of the UK development scene?
OPM is pleased to be working with a forward thinking independent studio working on ground-breaking AAA titles for a solid UK publisher.
They are now looking for a games experienced senior sound designer to join the existing team and help keep the project schedule on track: The position will be to create and implement original sound content on an exciting new IP but also to help design the next generation of creative UGC sound tools. This is not a junior position. It is essential you have a proven track record of a similar position in the games industry. You will need at least 1 full cycle AAA Console game to your credit.
?You need to understand both interactive and linear audio content creation and implementation inside out as a starting point.
?Thorough understanding and experience of industry standard linear and interactive audio implementation tools but, even more than this, the desire and insight required to create something even better.
?Demonstrable, world-class interactive sound design skills.
?Experience of and a love for recording and editing sound – there will be a lot of this, alongside supervising and managing 3rd party source acquisition.
?The ability to take direction and exceed expectations – you will be supported, but you will not have your hand held. My client has a small team that punches above their weight and this requires great interpersonal and communication skills, a broad skill set, autonomy and trust.
?Technical sound design experience or tools design experience is a definite plus.
?Scripting experience is a definite plus.
