OPM are pleased to be working with this studio that is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with passion and proven skills to work with all other disciplines in the studio to develop a deep and broad understanding of players and game traffic. You will analyse data and provide actionable insights and recommendations on how to enhance and optimize enjoyment, engagement and overall efficiencies in all areas of gameplay and the player life cycle etc.


  • Develop analytical and statistical models utilizing both external reference and internal research data
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver an unbiased, fact-driven approach to research and reporting
  • Design, draft and produce reporting and analysis based on specific game/studio requirements
  • Work with executives, publishing (production and marketing), developers, and other game teams to identify information requirements, analytical questions and hypotheses, data sources, business rules, desired outcomes and impacts
  • Work with Studio BI Data Engineer and/or Game Engineering on data needs, telemetry and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Regional Offices and Global BI to support marketing analysis (funnel, campaigns).
  • Assist Studio finance and operations reporting and analysis (monitor business KPIs, forecasting)
  • Lead and own the collecting and reporting of Analytics, Monetisation & User Acquisition
  • Work with analytics, user acquisition and monetisation software solutions and partners
  • Continue to evaluate the moving market place and ensure tools are of the highest quality and fit for purpose
  • Own and update pre-launch forecasts, as well as live tracking models, covering revenue, costs, ROI per project
  • Evaluate performance of Ad networks and manage inbound campaigns
  • Identify major points of Churn and design A/B Market Testing trails and other solutions to mitigate Churn
  • Identify optimal pricing and structure for In-App Purchases
  • Run A/B Tests on Marketing Assets: Supporting the Marketing Manager when market testing optimal name and icon for games before launch
  • Analyse customer demographics and feed into Marketing
  • Coordinate with Coders to add Analytics events to games. Ideally having a dotted line management of the SDK APP Programmer
  • Coordinate with Game Designers on changes based on Analytics findings. This relates not just to IAPs and advertising, but to measuring and optimising engagement and retention



  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or Analytics (MBA ideal)
  • Extensive experience in quantitative or qualitative research in the videogame industry (preferred)
  • Experience with video game publishers, developers and video game market research firms
  • Ability to effectively convey analysis and statistics via contextually appropriate, logical data stories
  • Track record of effective communication and presentation skills both in-person and remote
  • Experience with a variety of database systems, with extensive use of MySQL, Hadoop
  • Solid understanding of SQL and other query languages
  • Experienced in statistical modelling and data mining
  • knowledge of Python, Tableau, SPSS, SAS and R
  • Experienced working with Web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.)
  • Familiarity or experience with unstructured data, text and sentiment analysis, surveys and NPS
  • Experience with data discovery, visualization and dashboards
  • Experience in product research and analysis, conjoint research and focus groups
