New Qualcomm dev kit integrates with Unity; Supports iPhone 4 and iPad 2

Qualcomm augmented reality SDK ‘comes to iOS’

Qualcomm has launched an augmented reality (AR) development kit for iOS devices, according to reports.

The SDK allows mobile developers to create games that use the iPhone’s camera to overlay fantasy elements onto the real-world view of the camera.

An Android version of Qualcomm’s AR kit is already available, while the iOS edition is only in early beta for now.

The SDK supports the iPhone 4, iPad 2 and fourth generation iPod Touch, according to TechCrunch. Unity customers will be able to integrate the SDK too.
