NASSCOM 2017 conference in India announces speakers

The NASSCOM Game Developer Conference for 2017 has announced its two high-profile keynote speakers. The conference, which will take place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre from November 8th-11th, will enter its second decade with a talk on one of India’s most successful games, a post-mortem on a virtual reality hit and talks on external development.

The keynote will be delivered by Indian developer Nukebox Studios. CEO, Amit Hardi, will talk behind the hit game Food Truck Chef, the $500,000 revenue it earned in just 45 days and the journey to make the game.

In addition to Hardi, Owlchemy Lab’s Alex Schwartz will present a post-mortem talk on VR hit Job Simulator, Lauren Freeman from Electronic Arts will be presenting her talk ‘Game Industry Trends and the Impact of External Development’ and Mathieu Lachance from Keyword Studios will be looking at VR developments place in the future of gaming. Talks from King, Yoozoo and Facebook have also been confirmed.

Also joining the lineup of companies will be Unity, who has partnered with the NGDC to bring it’s ‘Unite’ conference tracks and workshops to India for the first time. There will also be the NGDC 2017 Awards to recognise Indian game development achievements and several talks on development and business in the region, as well as the games expo floor.
