Director of product development Chelsea Blasko promoted to chief product officer

Iron Galaxy appoints former PlayStation exec Adam Boyes as CEO

Former PlayStation VP of third-party relations Adam Boyes (pictured, left) has joined Killer Instinct developer Iron Galaxy as the studio’s new CEO.

Boyes announced that he was leaving Sony after four years earlier this month, saying at the time that he would be looking to make a return to independent development, having previously held positions at Midway and Capcom.

In his new role at the Chicago-based outlet, which has also worked on Divekick and Videoball, Boyes will work with founder Dave Lang (pictured, centre) to “leverage his publisher relationships to explore new opportunities for Iron Galaxy and maximise the studio’s revenue potential,” the studio said in an announcement.

Elsewhere, Iron Galaxy director of product development Chelsea Blasko (pictured, right) has been promoted to chief product officer, taking responsibility for production and operations as the company grows.

“I am extremely excited to have Adam and Chelsea join the leadership team at Iron Galaxy,” said Lang. “Adam is a seasoned professional who can expand and evolve the publishing arm of our business, while Chelsea, who has been with us since inception, can manage and drive the teams forward as we execute against a grander vision.

“With Adam in place, Chelsea and I can focus on cultivating talent, managing our teams and delivering great product.”
