Arma 3 debut campaign arrives later this month as free DLC

Arma 3 will receive the first of its promised single-player story content as a free DLC pack on October 31st, developer Bohemia Interactive has announced.

The military shooter lacked a campaign mode when it launched in September, which Bohemia has promised to remedy with free post-release content updates.

The first campaign episode, ‘Survive,’ follows a NATO peacekeeping soldier on a mission in the game’s Mediterranean island setting.

The update containing the episode will also feature new content for the core game.

"[Survive is] an opportunity to provide yet more building blocks for the platform like new weapons, animations, 3D objects, scripted modules, each designed to grant content creators even greater freedom to create and share their own content," creative director Jay Crowe stated.

"Looking forward to the forthcoming episodes, we’ll continue to expand Arma 3’s sandbox with additions such as new vehicles."
