Titles to be rolled out over coming months as part of Jetstar's new passenger entertainment program

Airline adds Gameloft games to in-flight iPad rentals

Australian airline Jetstar is to offer passengers 12 titles from digital social games publisher Gameloft as part of itsiPad rental service, it has been announced.

The upcoming additions are part of Jetstar’s new in-flight entertainment program, with five Gameloft titles to be added in December and the rest added early next year.

The games on offer will include Brain Challenge, The Settlers, GT Racing: Motor Academy and UNO.

“Jetstar is proud to be the first airline in the world to entertain its customers with cutting-edge iPad technology revolutionising the in-flight entertainment experience for its customers,” said Jetstar CEO Bruce Buchanan.

Gameloft founder Michel Guillemot added: “Gameloft’s philosophy is to make video games accessible to the widest audience possible by constantly seeking new avenues to reach and interact with consumers.

“As Jetstar uses some of the most innovative technology available to enhance its customers in-flight experience, we look forward to partnering with them to offer one of the most immersive gaming experience to ever appear on-board an aircraft.”

The in-flight entertainment program is to be rolled out over the next few weeks on selected flights, with passengers able to rent iPads when flying for longer than two hours for AUD$10 – $15 per flight.
