For any readers who might know know, tell us a little more about your company and its goal.

Keywords Studios is dedicated to providing essential services to the video games industry from concept to live operations support. We do this on a global basis through our 22 studios in 16 countries.

We have about 1,700 games passionate employees providing services for art and audio production, functional QA, localization, localization QA, customer support and community management. All these professionals, the tools and knowledge gained over thousands of individual game titles are made available to our clients on a variable cost basis.

Our goal is to continue to expand our capabilities within the framework of a conservatively managed business so we can play a leading role in bringing awesome games to players around the world for many years to come.

What differentiates you from similar outfits?

We are a publicly quoted company, providing transparency to our clients while enabling us to access a pool of funding from outside of the game industry. This allows Keywords Studios to build its geographic footprint and expand its range of services organically and through acquisition, thereby increasing choice for our clients.

Today we have the largest range of services and most comprehensive studio network in the industry.

What excites you about the games industry and games development today?

The constant evolution of our industry is what excites us most. It is these changes – new business models, new game genres, new devices, new territories and new demographic groups of gamers that spawn complexity in our industry – complexity that adds risk (and rewards that for those that get it right).

We help to manage that complexity on behalf of our clients, enabling them to pay for the talent and expertise they need, when they need it across all platforms, across all geographies and at all stages throughout the games lifecycle.

What do you think the line-up of this year’s Develop Awards finalists says about the industry today?

The line-up is so great that voting some Awards proved really challenging. Too many games that deserve to win this year. It’s fantastic to the see our industry supported by such strong and creative teams.

Do you have a message for the finalists?

Being nominated for a Develop Award is a great achievement. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Anything else you’d like to add?

We’re proud to partner again with the Develop Awards and look forward to celebrate together excellence in the game industry.
