Rapid2D Launches TEN THOUSAND POUND App Competition!

Rapid2D SMASHES 150 TEAM entries for its App Competition! But that’s not all; there is still time for YOU to register a team for the top prize of TEN THOUSAND POUNDS

Rapid2D, the Game Engine designed specifically for developing on Windows 8,  is proud to announce over 100 teams have signed up for its App competition. The design competition launched with industry sponsor Microsoft Corp, is offering developers a first prize of£10,000.

Teams have been signing up in droves since the launch of the competition just over a week ago. However, equally impressive is that Rapid 2D has reported its fastest volume of traffic downloading its engine since its launch.

Myra Smallman, of Rapid2D announced:“This is astounding; people all over the country are embracing our new engine. The Rapid 2D team can’t wait to see the entries submitted and one games developer win the top prize of£10,000, a major financial boost in the first quarter of 2013.”

The Rapid2D competition launched on Wednesday 23 ^rd January 2013, along with the first of the free templates designed to assist start-ups and student studio teams.  Teams have also been able to download the latest revision of the engine at the same time.

Those still wishing to enter are encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed. The publishing deadline for entries is 12.00am midnight on 2 ^nd April 2013.
