Funday Factory is the team behind Smashville that has just been released for Apple iOS.
Aarhus, Denmark. Thursday December 20, 2012– Funday Factory has just released the game Smashville for Apple iOS with financial support from The Danish Film Institute (DFI). Smashville is a casual game, best described as a mix of Angry Birds, Subway Surfers and Flight Control. The Smashville experience is hectic, strategic and fun. The philosophy behind Smashville is simple, it has to be easy to approach but difficult to master. The game is learned in 30 seconds, but it will take a long time to become an expert. You have to take control over an angry god and demolish anything on your way through the game and at the same time avoid invading aliens from out of space. Silly and most of all great fun. Smashville is free to download and play, so everybody can take part without having to spend a fortune doing so.
Funday Factory has existed since 2011 and has until now primarily developed games for external projects. A capital injection along with financial support from The Danish Film Institute (DFI) made it possible for Funday Factory to get into the iOS market independently. The first project to be released is Smashville and there are more games coming in the future from the skilled team of developers. Creative Director and co-owner Anders Leicht Rohde started Funday Factory after a couple of successful years at Krea Media, where he, among other things, worked on a long list of releases such as Pixeline and Hugo. Anders says ”Smashville is a huge step for Funday Factory. Besides being a really fun game, it also marks the beginning of a long list of games to be released from Funday Factory in the coming year”
Anders is together with Glen Würtz Christiansen the main powers behind Smashville. Glen, who earlier this year became a part of the Funday Factory team, has great experience since he with incredible success developed the Danish game hit“Axe in Face”.
Smashville is out today for Apple iOS, iPad and iPad mini. It will be released soon for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
