Minister of State Visits Independent Mobile Games Publisher HandyGames™

On Thursday, the 22 ^nd of November 2012, Minister of State Thomas Kreuzer and a delegation of politicians, business association representatives and the press visited the Bavarian mobile games developer and publisher HandyGames™ at the company’s headquarters in Giebelstadt, Germany.

Following a presentation on the company and the mobile games business in general, the delegation took a tour of the premises, which are currently being remodelled extensively to provide modern work spaces that facilitate creative work and agile product development. This includes elaborately designed common areas where employees can meet, socialize and relax. The substantial investment into its Giebelstadt headquarters is part of the company’s ongoing expansion of operations.

Minister of State Kreuzer lauded HandyGames™ as an excellent example of an internationally successful company from Bavaria’s“Mittelstand” and expressed his appreciation of the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship embodied by the company. According to Minister Kreuzer, the videogame business has become more important than film industry, a trend that would likely continue, considering the rapidly changing patterns in media usage.
