Games for Change at GDC detailed

Organizers reveal talks with Ian Livingstone, Sojo Studios, and panel discussions
This year's GDC will see a new summit, "Games for Change", the details of which have just been revealed by the event organizers.
Games for Change, a non-profit organization founded in 2004, is dedicated to the creation of educational and humanitarian games.
The summit will bring together key players in what the organization calls, "social impact games", to "highlight models of collaboration" aimed at bridging the gap between commercial and issue driven games.
Ian Livingstone, founder of Games Workshop, will give a talk entitled, "From Dungeons to Downing Street- How games are growing up for good," which will focus on games as learning aids for problem solving and decision making, as well as his efforts to change the image of games in the UK government.
Sojo Studios CEO Lincoln Brown will discuss how his studio has been raising money for charity through its social game WeTopia.
Jan L. Plass from NYU's Games for Learning institute will speak on the mechanics of educational games, draw lessons from AAA titles, illustrate what the learning sciences can teach us about game mechanics.
The summit, will be held in San Francisco during GDC 2012 on March 6.
