GDC: New social monetisation platform announced

RockYou offering a package of publicity and monetisation models
RockYou has launched a new moneitsation platform featuring a bundle of ten monetization channels for studios looking to expand their income on social networking games.
The RockYou Monetisation Platform (RYMP) is said to have the potential to increase average revenue per user (ARPU) by up to 20 percent.
The ten unique monetisation systems includes a comprehensive ad package (boasting display ads which hit over 13 billion monthly gflobal impressions), a marketplace featuring several virtual currency payment alternatives and RockYou game ads with rotating ads for flash games.
“RYMP is just the first step. We are continuously working on new ways for developers to monetize more of their user-base – their success leads to an increased reach that we can provide to our brand advertisers as well,” says Lisa Marino, chief revenue officer, RockYou.
RYMP also features high eCPM video and flash ads, standard IAB/Facebook compliant banner ads; anonymous and spam-free sourced surveys, purchasable discounts from over 2,500 brands, Facebook-compliant free samples and subscriptions and safe, well known payment providers.
