Japanese 'Mario Club' team made into own company to 'improve staff treatment'
Nintendo has split its Japanese Mario Club QA and feedback testing team into its own company, Mario Club Ltd, according to GameBusiness.jp.
The group, which employs 250 people, provides debugging, testing and feedback on internal Nintendo products.
According to a report from the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the move has been made to improve treatment of part-time and contract employees. As part of the process, part-time employees - who make up the bulk of Mario Club's workforce - will be made into contract employees, and contract employees will be made into full-time employees.
