Hunt is on for games industry?s top young entrepreneur

The British Council's Creative Economy Unit has put out a call for the games industry's best young entrepreneurs, hoping to get them involved in the UK Young Interactive Entrpreneur award.

The awards for for young creative workers in all kinds of sectors - this year, placements are available for six finalists to travel to India on a two week study tour, after which a winner will be chosen and given £5,000 to spend on a collaborative project in the Indian sector.

Applicants should be 25 to 35 with at least three years experience and hail from the interactive industry.

Pablo Rosselló from the British Council told us: "Our definition of ‘interactive’ is quite wide and includes digital and interactive multimedia, leisure software publishers, developers and marketing specialists; entertainment developers for the internet, digital television, radio and mobile phones, internet and web design and experimental media. We are also happy to hear from those who aren’t self employed - as long as they can demonstrate their entrepreneurial ability - and from those in the social enterprise/not for profit sector."
