June event grows dedicated business areas with meeting space and kiosks for studios
With this year’s upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo set to become big again, the ESA has partnered with Connection Events to offer a dedicated space for networking, meetings and of course geneal gossip.
The Game Development Pavilion will be situated at South Hall of the LA Convention Centre from June 2-4. Connection Events describes it as a “dedicated business area” for independent developers, outsourcing companies and game makers.
“Game Connection will open its online meeting system for game development companies as well as to its large community of developers, publishers, services companies attending E3 Expo,” read a company statement.
According to Game Connection’s website, attendees can register online ahead of events and begin scheduling meetings. With this meeting system, parties are notified if they have a conference request or if their requests have been accepted or turned down, making the process more efficient during those frantic few days.
Each exhibitor signing up to the Game Development Pavilion will have a closed booth to facilitate meetings and will also have visibility on who will be attending E3 Expo and when.
“The Online Meeting System is a real added value to a show like E3 Expo, where it can be very challenging to identify the appropriate partners and to set a meeting with them,” said Pierre Carde, Managing Director at Game Connection.
Dan Hewitt, ESA’s Senior Director of Communications said that the pavilion will be “a positive addition to everyone’s show experience, providing an efficient way to participate in the event and get business done.”
