With an increasing range of prototyping tech offering to reduce development risks and increase creative freedom, the likes of Gameblender and Moviestorm are offering a level of sophistication previously unheard of.

Despite this, some companies creating prototyping and pre-viz tech have struggled to make profits from their endeavours, and only last year UK tool provider Antics Technologies closed its doors.

However, with huge names like Google moving in on the market with tech like its SketchUp spatial development tool, the selection currently available to development studios is unrivaled.
