Series C funding round to fund 'major strategic change'?
Online RPG developer Turbine has rounded up $40 million dollars of venture capital funding according to financial website Private Equity Hub.
The Massachusetts-based studio, which counts Asheron's Call, Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online amongst its heritage, has now in total raised more than $90 million in funding during its lifetime.
According to PE Hub, the developer is expected to soon announce major strategic operational changes, possibly moving away from massively-multiplayer online RPGs.
