Yogscast Partners with SOE in Landmark Deal

Bristol - 4 September, 2014 - Leading YouTube broadcasting group the Yogscast announced today that it is partnering with Sony Online Entertainment’s Landmark.

The partnership includes SOE providing free Settler Founder’s Pack keys for Landmark to all the Yogscast fans who backed the game Yogventures, which ceased development earlier this year after the developer Winterkewl LLC closed down.

Landmark is an online sandbox game that combines combat/survival with creative building and exploration. Currently in Closed Beta, Landmark’s open development provides tools and mechanisms to players to help shape the game. Landmark players also have the opportunity to contribute to the highly anticipated EverQuest Next, through building projects guided by the development team.  Unrestricted access is only available through purchasing a Founder’s Pack.

In addition Yogscast fans who don’t qualify for a key will be able to get seven days of free access to Landmark via this link: http://www.landmarkthegame.com/yogscast

“We’re really happy to be working with SOE on Landmark and to be able to provide our fans with keys to the game so they can get involved in what we think is a really exciting project,” said Yogscast co-founder Lewis Brindley.

“As we showed earlier in the summer with the TUG deal, we’re committed to finding great gaming experiences for the backers who lost out when Yogventures folded and we think Landmark is something they’ll be eager to try out,” Brindley added.

“We’re psyched to get to work with the folks at Yogscast. Their audience is powerfully creative and exactly the sort of folks we’d love to see discovering a game like Landmark.

“Plus, the Yogscast crew should be able to find much hilarity within the crazy things that players make in the game so the partnership between us should be fantastic. We’re very happy to work with them now and in the future,” said SOC director of development David Georgeson.

All Kickstarter backers and paypal supporters of Yogventures will receive a Settler Pack key that enables permanent access Landmark in closed beta. Yogventures backers should look out for an email in the coming days.
