Ukie is exclusive UK partner for new GameTrack report– will be able to offer report to its members for preferential rates

31 May 2012 - London, United Kingdom– Games and interactive entertainment trade body Ukie has today announced that it is the exclusive sales and marketing partner for the UK for GameTrack, ISFE’s quarterly market sizing and trends report.

Being the exclusive UK partner means that Ukie will be making the report available to any UK businesses with an interest in video games and interactive entertainment and will be offering the GameTrack report to its members for a preferential rate. The GameTrack report was launched in Central London earlier this week. GameTrack is a new multi-country tracking survey designed to provide a view of the complete video games market.

GameTrack currently runs in the UK, France and Germany and Spain, with plans to add further markets in the near future.? Each quarter, 6700 surveys are completed in each country to monitor:

    <*> volume: the number of games being acquired (both paid and free) <*> value: the amount of money being spent on games <*> time: the amount of time that is spent gaming
The research includes all devices that might be used for playing video games– PCs and laptops, games consoles and portables, smartphones and tablets as well as emerging niche devices such as smart TVs. The report also includes all types of games– from packaged (new, pre-owned and rental) to mobile apps (paid and free) to online games (including downloads, subscriptions, browser games and games on social network sites). New devices and new types of games will be added as they appear in the market.

Initial subscribers to GameTrack are Activision, Disney Interactive, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe, Sony Computer Entertainment, Take 2 Interactive and Ubisoft.
