p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NIIGATA, JAPAN – November 28th, 2017
Tsugi (www.tsugi-studio.com ), the leading developer of procedural audio technologies, is pleased to announce the launch of the GameSynth Beta program. Game developers interested in joining the program can apply here: http://tsugi-studio.com/web/en/gamesynthbeta/index.html .
GameSynth (http://www.tsugi-studio.com/web/en/products-gamesynth.html ) is the new highly-anticipated procedural audio middleware from Tsugi. It allows for the synthesis of sound effects in real-time during the game instead of using static samples.
Among the benefits are:
- GameSynth models only take a few hundred bytes compared to samples which are orders of magnitude bigger, saving memory and transfer times.
- Since the sound is synthesized in real-time, all its aspects can be controlled from the game parameters, offering a much greater interactivity than with sample playback.
- Random variations can be automatically created by slightly changing the parameters of the models to fight repetitiveness.
GameSynth includes both a sound design tool (that can be sold independently) and a run-time engine. It can be used alone or in conjunction with the game audio middleware of your choice. In addition, Tsugi is currently working with several game middleware companies to offer advanced integrations.
Simultaneously to the beta launch, Tsugi has released a series of videos demonstrating the versatility and power of the GameSynth procedural audio models:
