With the upcoming patch 1.14.1., the kingdoms in Art of Conquest will finally be getting a King.
In order to have the separate players and Houses in a kingdom feel more united in fighting for a common cause, a King will be elected that unifies the kingdom under one banner, helps coordinate attacks and defense strategies between Houses and represents the kingdom in diplomatic interactions with the other kingdoms.
Each Kingdom can have only one king at a time, and a new king is chosen every week. Although any player can become king, only House Lords and House Ministers may take part in the election process.
Any House that controls at least one city can participate in choosing the King. The House Lord and its Ministers represent the House in making the selection. All cities controlled by a House will throw their support behind the player chosen by the House Lord and its Ministers. The player who garners the support of the most cities will become King. A minimum of 10 cities is required. The king wields special royal powers and rides an exclusive Griffon mount.
The king appoints a council of senior advisors: the Crown Prince, Chancellor, Magister, Bishop, and First Sword. Further advisors are appointed by the senior advisors. These advisors benefit from different buffs and can show off their titles when travelling on the map.
Except for the king feature, the new patch also introduces Leaderboards, changes to several Hero skills that aim for a better balance in game, as well as the possibility of migration. Migration allows players that are unhappy with their kingdom or the way it is ruled, to emigrate and swear fealty to one of the other kingdoms. They can never immigrate into the kingdom that at that moment holds the biggest territory.
The introduction of the king and the entire administrative system as well as the migration feature promise new and exciting things to happen in the lands of Nore. Join one of the kingdoms now – in Art of Conquest!
