Manchester, UK - Wednesday 25 March 2009 - Tiger Shark Games is pleased to officially announce both the creation of their studio and the release of their first title: Word Smith.
A word puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod Touch, Word Smith features several game types based around the same addictive gameplay: find as many words in a single grid as quickly as possible! Offering four distinct modes of play, a fully-featured achievements system, and the ability to upload local highscores onto a global leaderboard, Word Smith is a fun, frantic and feature-rich experience for all ages.
Tiger Shark also teased at the development of their second title, already underway at the studio.“We are planning on putting the 'Strategy' back in to Real-Time Strategy,” said Creative Director Kevin Fairbairn.“We will be making several announcements over the coming months, but suffice to say we are all very excited about the scope and direction of the next project.”
Tiger Shark Games is a four man team focused on utilising their combined experiences working for some of the most successful developers in the UK to create their own brand of fun and compelling videogames. Three members of the team, including one Lead Programmer, come fresh from Traveller's Tales, where they helped to create such recent commercial and chart successes as LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga and LEGO Batman.
