The Liberation of Berlin Enters its Second Phase

- Successful launch of the browser MMO, additional season for newcomers added -

Berlin, 30 July 2013: Since the release of Warstory Europe four weeks ago, the Western Allies and the Red Army have fought tooth and nail against the Wehrmacht. The foe is resilient and ingenious, but the playerrsquo;s resourcefulness, cooperation and pure strength of will are paying dividends in the struggle for freedom.

First victories

On their way to Berlin, players have overcome the first major hurdle and, with the liberation of Eastern Europe, early victory lies with the Red Army, which fulfilled its war goals before the Western Allies and moved onto the second phase. British and American troops are still locked in brutal battle with the Wehrmacht for Rome but need only take this one city to advance to the next stage.

After the liberation of Rome the Western Allies will need to spread further north. Success wonrsquo;t be easy, as the heavily defended cities of Munich and Amsterdam lay ahead. The Red Army itself is facing intense resistance as it marches on the fortified Austrian Capital, Vienna, and prepares for its push deep into Wehrmacht territory.

New Units

With the advent of phase two players can now access an enlarged arsenal: With the ZIS-3 AT and the BA-3, the Red Army is, among others, in possession of a mighty anti-tank gun and a new armored car giving their forces added firepower and mobility. Commanders of the Western Allies can look forward to unlocking the M4A3 Sherman or the MK VIldquo;Churchill" tank in the next stage, allowing them to deal swift death to those Wehrmacht soldiers who would dare try to stop their advance.

Season for new players started

For players who missed the initial launch of Warstory , publisher 1337 Games is adding another server with a new season. Future commanders can now dive into a brand new war from the first phase, participate in the liberation of Berlin from the beginning and experience the tension and excitement of racing to prove their own, and their factionrsquo;s, strength. Will the Red Army prove dominant or will the Western Allies have the mettle to race to Berlin ahead of their comrades? Only those who sign up for the fight and are courageous enough to face the enemy in bloody combat will ever know.
