The Electronic Sports League will host the first European tournament of ShootMania at gamescom 2012 which will occur from August 16 to 19 2012 at Cologne with 8 000€ of prize money
Tours, France– July 23 2012– The Electronic Sports League, the first worldwide league for eSports players is proud to announce the first European tournament of ShootMania Storm in partnership with UBISOFT and NADEO, designer of ShootMania and Trackmania succesful series, gathering more than 11 millions of players all over the world.
From today and until July 31 2012, ESL opens the registrations to the European Op3n ShootMania gamescom, for the first four (4) qualifiers that will last during 4 days until August 3rd 2012. The winning team of each qualifier will be qualified for the finals hosted at Cologne, during the gamescom, one of the biggest international fair dedicated to videogames, August 17 2012.
To spice up this competition, there will be a last qualifier offline, that will able four additionnal (4) teams to qualify and defend their team’s colors during the final stage of the competition. The whole tournament will be played on Elite team mode (3vs3).
To ensure the quality of the show, every qualifiers will be broadcasted on Internet and casted in English by Joe Miller, and in French by Adrien‘Zerator’ Nougaret, both eSports specialists. Similarly, finals will benefit from a broadcast that will allow spectators from all over the world to follow in live, the intensity of the event.
Finally, gamescom’s visitors will have the opportunity, on Ubisoft and ESL booths, to discover the different game mods of Shootmania Storm, and to face professionnal players during the whole time of the fair.
