Get Kirby on your Nintendo 3DS for some classic side scrolling fun now on the Nintendo eShop

Prepare to travel to a tiny star somewhere far, far away from Earth as Kirby's Dream LandTM comes to Nintendo 3DS via download in the Nintendo eShop.

Set in the once tranquil and happy location of Dream Land, Kirby must stop the gluttonous King Dedede and his band of thieves after they stole the Dream Lander’s treasured Sparkling Stars. Use Kirby to leap, jump and fly his way to victory in this side scrolling platform game that is packed full of classic Kirby action.

Check out the latest offerings below which are also available for download this week via the Nintendo eShop, Nintendo DSi Shop and Wii Shop Channel.

The Nintendo eShop is a digital store for Nintendo 3DS owners that provides access to a wide variety of free&paid for downloadable content each Thursday, which includes–

• Original 3D software• 3D Classics - games that have been re-mastered in 3D• Virtual Console - Game Boy and Game Boy Color games in their original 2D glory• Extensive library of Nintendo DSiWareTM games.

Visitors can also view video game trailers, screen shots and product information for games, including those available at retail locations.

In order for Nintendo 3DS owners to gain access to the Nintendo eShop, a system update must be performed via a wireless broadband internet connection. To perform the free and simple recommended system update, Nintendo 3DS users can simply:

• Start the“System Settings” from the Home Menu,• Select“Other Settings” and scroll the page right to select“System Update.”

Performing the system update will allow users to access a free download of 3D Classics ExcitebikeTM, the original NES Excitebike game, re-mastered in 3D for a limited time period up until 7th July 2011. Also available for free download from the Nintendo eShop is the new Pok?dex 3D application. Start collecting data for more than 150 Pok?mon from the Pok?mon Black and Pok?mon White Version games. This new application lets users see each Pok?mon in 3D with animated motion and sound.

The system update will also provide users with access to a free Internet Browser, the ability to receive SpotPass content from supported public WiFi hotspots across Europe, as well as providing Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL owners the ability to easily transfer most of their previously purchased Nintendo DSiWare games to their Nintendo 3DS systems.

Users can also add funds to their virtual wallets using their credit card or a Nintendo eShop Card (available in stores soon), browse the selections and then click to download the games they want.
