Table Tennis Touch kills off IAP's

Yakuto remove all In App Purchases in first update

London, August 20th 2014 - Yakuto are pleased to announce that all In App Purchases have been removed from their hit iOS sports game ' Table Tennis Touch'.

Bucking a trend in mobile gaming, ‘ Table Tennis Touch’ will now be a fully premium experience for players with no In-App Purchases. Notably it will also remain at price point Tier 4 ($3.99/£2.49). This is the first update for the game since its launch in May and is available on the App Store right now.

Table Tennis Touch has received an incredibly positive reception since release but our two IAPs left room for questions and talk of paywalls. This was particularly problematic for the ‘Boost’ feature as it enabled players to hit the ball faster and if they ran out, they could buy more” explains Yakuto co-founder James Gratton.

Table Tennis Touch has no paywalls, but we understand why people would question Boost and its purpose. Boost is never required to win, it just makes a really fast game even faster. By removing all IAPs and making Boost free for all we're cementing Table Tennis Touch as a purely premium product and ensuring the most immersive experience for players.”

Boost! - this feature (a power-up which adds speed and spin to the ball) will now be earned with achievements and gameplay. Existing owners of ' Table Tennis Touch' will receive Boost retrospectively relative to any achievements won as soon as they update.

Arcade Key - The Arcade key was a shortcut which allowed players to unlock all mini-games immediately rather than play through Career. The Arcade area is still in the game but the shortcut has been removed.

Any players who have previously bought the Arcade Key or Boost will continue to have full use of previous purchases.
