GENEVA, Switzerland– 31 May, 2007– Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced the availability of The Sims™ Bowling, an original new title from The Sims franchise developed exclusively for mobile phones. The Sims Bowling further extends the popular The Sims series on mobile, allowing players to take their Sims to a bowling party and challenge friends in a fun contest of skill and popularity. The Sims Bowling is now available for download from all major operators across Europe and will roll out soon to North American customers.
In The Sims Bowling, players can choose and customize a Sim and then hit the lanes. The better your bowling skills, the more popular your Sim becomes, but as your Sim’s popularity rises so too does the game’s difficulty. Scoring Strikes, Turkeys and winning trophies are sure-fire ways to keep players and their Sims on the path to becoming bowling superstars. Players can enjoy three game modes– Classic, Spare-O-Thon and Strike-O-Thon - each delivered with vibrant graphics and realistic bowling physics and designed with a simple control system for easy, one-handed play.
”With The Sims Bowling, mobile gamers and existing fans of the franchise can now enjoy the fun of taking their Sims to the bowling alley to show off their skills as they climb up or slide down the popularity ladder,” said Javier Ferreira, VP European Publishing, EA Mobile™.”The game is accessible and great fun for everyone and available exclusively for mobile phones.”
