ROG Masters Grand Final Showdown Is Happening This Week!

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Decemer 6, 2017 — ROG Masters 2017 is set for a decisive climax this week as 12 champion teams converge at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia and clash, both for the larger slice of the US$470,000 prize pool and the honor of the winner's trophy. Each team holds the hopes of their homeland, having fought fiercely and come out victorious in offline Regional Finals for their Grand Finals slot: This is esports at its most competitive.

A clutch of esports talent

The weekend showdown will be hosted by a luminary of CS:GO worldwide, Ben Green. Alongside him, live-commentating the official broadcast over the four days, will be an expert clique of CS:GO and Dota 2 specialists giving their insight into the action watched from across the globe:

CS:GO – Elfishguy, KaRath, Jiro Pineda, Vill, and Hugo Byron

Dota 2 – Capitalist, Fogged, Luminous, Lyrical, and GranDGranT

A worldwide phenomenon

The onstage Grand Finals showdown will be preceded by the group stage, in which all teams will face off evenly in a best-of-two (Bo2) round-robin format. The winners will advance directly to the semi-finals while 2nd and 3rd place teams battle it out in the quarter-finals – two days of intense offline esports in the KLCC Plenary Hall before a hall of diehard esports fans.

Those attendees will get to claim Grand Finals-exclusive ROG merchandise, try out onsite product experiences, and might even win ROG Strix SCAR or Strix Hero monitors in the lucky draws, and fans at home can get involved too with the selfie challenge – and of course by following the livestream at the times below.
