Pull Your Way to Victory! Award Winning Game Cubetractor is currently on sale August 16th!

The IGF China-winning, neo-retroesque action-strategy-puzzle hybrid is available to the public!

Singaporendash; August 16th, 2013 - Independent game company Ludochip is excited to release Cubetractor, an action-strategy-puzzle hybrid where you defeat enemies through an unconventional cube-pulling, turret-building mechanic; for PC and Mac.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;The game recently won the covetedlsquo;Best Game Awardrsquo; in the Independent Games Festival China 2012. The game is available on Steam, Greenman Gaming, Amazon.com, Gamefly, Get GamesGo, Gameolith and Gamersgate for $8.50 (USD) or currency equivalent, 15% off the typical price of $9.99.

Cubetractor carries elements of a reverse tower defence and a grounded bullet-hell dodger to deliver a unique gameplay experience presented in a classic top-down perspective. Players take on the role of Endroi, a menacingly happy-go-lucky quadrubot as he strives to master the art of Cubetracting -- the art of attracting Cubes. It's a deceptively straightforward skill that involves dexterity, acute awareness, multi-tasking and tactical positioning. Players will have to strategize, solve and fight their way through multitudes of enemy installations to achieve victory.

middot;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; 40+ maps to pull, crush and build: Levels carefully designed to bring out the emergent dynamics in a unique mechanic.

middot;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Symmetrical Balance: Why are the bad guys always one step ahead?nbsp; In Cubetractor, the enemy structures are exactly the same as the players, other than they got there first. Defeating them is a matter of thoughtful timing and positioning.

middot;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Purely indie-made: Done by 2 people, living off their savings, working off random coffee joints.

middot;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Hardcore Awards for Hardcore Players: The main levels are designed for speedruns. Collect all the batteries, reach the finishing goal within impressively tight time limits -- do all that without a scratch -- to earn the most coveted of accolades. Don't worry, there are also options for those of us that are more human.

"The game gets pretty hard for a good number of casual players, despite its light-hearted appearance,rdquo; sates lead developer, Bruce Chia.nbsp;ldquo;But you know what? On the bright side if you were such a player, and if you didn't give up, you'd find you'd be able to appreciate a lot more of the intense neo-retro sort of action games, particularly top-down shooters, you can see our take on the bullet hell experience on a small scale here!rdquo;

Players interested in frantic, multi-tasking gameplay where they need to plan their approach and find the most efficient ways to engage will find this right up their alley. Cubetractor is challengingndash; players will have to dodge enemy fire while constructing the right structures to overwhelm their targets and seize the day!

Cubetractor is available on on Steam, Greenman Gaming, Amazon.com, Gamefly, Get GamesGo, Gameolith and Gamersgatenbsp;for a sale price of $8.50 USD or currency equivalent August 14th.nbsp; A dramatic trailer has been released in conjunction with the press release and can be seen via the following link:nbsp; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ks3e_gvjtgnbsp; Assets including logos and screenshots can be downloaded via the presskit.

ABOUT Ludochip

We're just 2 guys who, like many others out there, just enjoy making games.

You see, after having seen some success working on CarneyVale Showtime (featured in Microsoft Dream Build Play 2008 and IGF '09) and Symon (DICE 2011 IGC Best Browser Game Award Winner), we decided to team up to -- you guessed it -- make games independently.

Ludochip dreams of putting together interesting and different mechanics that are not just refreshing to experience, but are at the same time accessible and easy to relate to. Experimentation and exploration aside, it's all about having fun.
