January 28, 2014

Deerfield Beach, FL – Playwire hires Josh Ettwein as their new Chief Technology Officer, in early November. Providing deep domain expertise in the online video space, Ettwein directs R&D efforts, manages technology decisions and architecture, and leads the engineering team at Playwire.

Ettwein has an extensive background of over 20 years of software and digital media experience at technology companies. Most recently at PRIMA Cinema, Ettwein served as Director of Engineering and User Experience. In creating the user experience for the industry-first home theater product, Ettwein’s innovations lead PRIMA Cinema to win the CEDIA “Best New Product of 2013” award. His portfolio is also filled with first-class products, such as an online video platform, a cloud-based, ad-hoc live streaming and transcoding platform for event broadcasting, and a SaaS platform providing broadband and mobile video publication, syndication, and advertising.

“Josh is the ideal candidate to lead our engineering team in developing new product launches and innovative expansions,” said Jayson Dubin, CEO and President of Playwire. “His vast amount of knowledge and experience will undoubtedly prepare our company to meet future web and software development needs.” Ettwein’s experiences in web and software development will greatly benefit Playwire's digital media and continuous development in the New Year.
