Playmob announces virtual currency for giving

(London, England) Thursday 27th June.

Playmob today announced a brand new virtual currency for games developers, in partnership with Blitz Games Studios, at the‘Marketing and Monitisation Games Event’ centered entirely around charity giving. From today a selected group of developers will have the chance to integrate the Playmob coin system into their games.

Playmob and Blitz have integrated the Playmob coin system into their mobile award winning‘Paper Titans’. Upon completing certain tasks within‘Paper Titans’ players are awarded a Playmob coin to donate to number of charities partnered with Playmob.

The Playmob coin specifically allows gamers to make a donation to a variety of charity causes from within their favourite games. The coin can be generated in game by completing levels, completing tasks within any given level, purchasing special items, triggering special events or rewarding time spent playing. Once you have obtained a coin you can then make your choice as to which cause you would like to donate to, or bank it so you can make the choice later.
