Persistant Studios Announces PopcornFX for Xbox One

March 4th, 2014 – Paris – Persistant Studios, a 3D Game Middleware Developer announced today that its next-gen particle engine and real time VFX solution, PopcornFX, is now available on Xbox One, the all in one games and entertainment system from Microsoft.

PopcornFX allows the creation of realtime smart particle effects with a professional middleware entirely dedicated to VFX workflows. It offers artists fully scriptable particles to make advanced effects and an extensive library preset ideal for non technical artists.

An automated triggering system lets FX be based on physical events such as collisions or custom events specifically chosen by the user. With quick integration to the engine PopcornFX offers efficient, solid modern design and allows many game engine interactions, fast iterations and optimized tools tailored for VFX and great flexibility.

PopcornFX is also compatible with the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PS4, PS3, WiiU, PSVita, Windows PC, Mac, Linux and Android. The iOS version is currently in development.

PopcornFX Editor is the WYSIWIG realtime editor supplied with the product and available on Windows.
