London , UK– 19 th December 2012– Firefly Studios has just revealed new concept art for its upcoming real-time strategy sequel.
Earlier this year Firefly Studios announced the next entry in the Stronghold series with Stronghold Crusader 2. Set to march across digital battlefields on PC in Q4 2013, Stronghold Crusader 2 will take legions of Stronghold fans back to the ancient deserts of the Middle East for more real-time mayhem between brutal knights and fiery Caliphs.
Today Firefly are proud to reveal a new unit in the line up of Crusader troops with the Ranger. The Crusader Ranger is a master of all trades, able to attack at range with his trusty bow, but also to get up close and into the melee with his short sword. Of course it wouldn’t be a Stronghold game without Trebuchets, which will be making a return alongside troop formations.
Firefly Studios plans to raise the stakes with Stronghold Crusader 2, building upon the trademark gameplay of the original Stronghold Crusader with stunning new visuals, a sleek new battle interface and engine enhancements including effects, animations and real-time physics. Firefly promises epic fast-paced skirmishes against fiendish AI opponents on all-new maps with new unit classes, new traps, and new castle designs unlike any seen before in the series.
