New Awesomenauts skin helps wishes come true!

Over the course of the development of Awesomenauts quite a few visitors made it to the Ronimo Games' studio. Some of these have been kids, brought in by the Make-A-Wish foundation. This Foundation is a non-profit organisation that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Visiting an actual game studio had been a big wish for these children. At the same time these nice visitors provide inspiration and insight which always finds its way back into the games.

And today Ronimo Games is proud to present a skin designed by one of them as part of the new update for Awesomenauts! Private Mels is a new skin for Sheriff Lonestar, donning him in a tough looking military uniform while also visually upgrading his Bull-throwing special ability. As a thank you to the kids visiting the studio and the Make-a-Wish foundation, all of the revenue generated by the skin in 2013 will be dontaed to the foundation!

Apart from Private Mels, update 1.25 also contains the option to change the announcer's voice. Currently this feature only holds two kickstarter backer exclusive options: Pappa Gnaw and Voltar and will not be available to non-backers for the time being. Meanwhile the first Starstorm character, Ted McPain, has entered beta testing this Tuesday. Kickstarter backers with beta access are able to testdrive him until he's ready to be released to everyone.
