Level Up Media launches TheGamer.TV video platform

Esports and video game broadcaster Level Up Media has launched a new channel for premium video games footage.

TheGamer.TV will apparently live alongside Level Up’s esports-centric Dingit.TV and is being pitched as “the world’s first dedicated destination for audiences seeking the latest and greatest premium videos from blockbuster franchises like FIFA, Call of Duty, GTA, Assassin’s Creed and more”.

Expect walkthroughs, tips video and funnies.

Added the release: “The platform was developed to provide an end-to-end solution to the ever-increasing expectations of audiences for high quality video content. Combined with their proprietary video advertising technology, Level Up Media is able to offer viewers, creators and advertisers an unparalleled experience.”

One of the hooks is that content is curated by humans as opposed to algorithms, something that Level Up says can offer a more consistent level of quality. It also ensures better treatment for commercial partners and, pertinently, “ensures that brands can trust their products will always be showcased alongside quality, brand-safe content”.

Creators are being offered the chance to create their own portals on the site and potentially earn a “steady income”, complete with control of their personal branding.

“We’re incredibly excited to be launching TheGamer.TV,” Level Up Media’s VP of content and marketing Adam Simmons said. “It’s the first dedicated video platform for mainstream gamers where they can watch premium content featuring the biggest games, franchises and titles, without sifting through masses of other videos.

“This is a natural progression for Level Up Media following the growth of DingIt.TV. We have found that, while DingIt is incredibly popular with eSports fans, there are millions of others who want funny, quick-fire moments and tips alongside competitive gameplay. TheGamer is the new home for those content creators and fans, and the brands who want to reach them."
