Leading Video Game Industry History Book Now Available Through StoryBundle

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SAN DIEGO (August 20, 2014) — Entertainment Media Council, Inc. announced today that the leading history of the video-game industry, Gamers at Work: Stories Behind the Games People Play, will be available as a DRM-free ebook through Video Game Bundle 4.0, curated by Game Developers Conference boss Simon Carless, from August 20 until September 10.

In Gamers at Work, bestselling author and celebrity interviewer Morgan Ramsay explores the challenges of entrepreneurship in the video-game industry through longform interviews with 18 wildly successful founders of major video-game developers and publishers.

“Some of the most interesting and methodical interviews I’ve read with video games’ originators are at play in Morgan’s book,” wrote Simon Carless, executive vice president of App/Game Development and Black Hat at UBM Tech, in his curatorial review. “From EA’s Trip Hawkins to a rare interview with Sierra’s Ken Williams and far beyond, you get the straight dope in a well-documented, carefully crafted form—from the people who made history.”

Among the many interviews with industry luminaries in Gamers at Work, readers will enjoy entertaining stories, humorous anecdotes, and lessons learned the hard way from creative and business leaders, such as Naughty Dog cofounder Jason Rubin, Insomniac Games CEO Ted Price, and Lorne Lanning, the creator of the award-winning Oddworld series.
