“Habitat”, a new game from 4gency, playable at GDC 2014

Press Release: 2/24/2014 - For Immediate Release

Key Data

Habitat is a space-themed strategy game set in Earth's orbit, where you lead a team of engineers to save humanity by building a space station out of an orbiting wasteland of space junk.

Explore and salvage junk of all kinds, from earthly to alien, to build your base and manage your citizens. Space is a dangerous place and you’ll need to make tough choices to survive!

The zero-G physics of space also means a new kind of combat: kinetic weaponry. Any junk you find can be used to fight enemies, and stations can be destroyed in seconds triggering massive chain reactions.

Created in Unity by Seattle based game developer 4gency, Habitat is currently in development for PC, Mac, and Linux. A single-player sandbox exploration, construction, and destruction mode is planned, as well as a story-driven campaign set in Earth’s far future.

4gency will be launching Habitat’s Kickstarter campaign in early April. They will also be demoing a playable build of Habitat at GDC Play 2014 in San Francisco, March 19, 20, and 21. To schedule time to meet with the team at GDC, please email info@4gency.com.
