Historic first: Apple green-lights cashplay.co's cash tournament-based monetization platform

Cupertino, California, 6 January 2014 - In a major leap forward for game monetization, cashplay.co has become the only provider of cash tournaments to receive approval from Apple's App Store for real money payouts to iOS users.

The decision gives developers of iPhone and iPad games the freedom to choose cashplay.co's groundbreaking cash-tournament platform as a monetization method for their titles, secure in the knowledge that it has the approval of the Apple organization.

This landmark decision follows a December meeting at Apple's Cupertino, California headquarters between cashplay.co CEO Jarrod Epps and key members of the Apple iTunes Developer team.

Jarrod Epps, CEO of cashplay.co, said: "This is a big win for us, and a huge win for iPhone and iPad game developers worldwide. Cashplay.co now offers the only legitimate alternative to advertising and in-app purchases -- monetization methods that simply don't work for the majority of developers. Developers can now try cashplay.co's monetization program secure in the knowledge that it has the added legitimacy of Apple's approval and, unlike other cash tournament-based monetization programs, won't run the risk of their games being unexpectedly pulled from the App Store.  We are continuing to work closely with Apple to ensure cash tournaments in skill games are operated through robust, secure systems that ensure a great end user experience void of risk of fraud, identity theft or cheating within the games on our system."

Having received $3 million in funding, cashplay.co offers easy integration into online and mobile games for a developer community needing a monetization model that doesn't detract from the game experience. Backed by an experienced online gaming team using best-in-class technology, cashplay.co operates all the fraud-protection, geo-blocking, client-identification and cheat-prevention systems necessary for handling real cash in games. Cashplay is also the only cash gaming platform which has agreements to accept credit and debit card payments and withdrawals worldwide.

Cashplay.co monetizes mobile and online games via player-versus-player cash tournaments, enabling developers to generate revenue from their games by offering gamers the ability to compete against each other for real money.

Cashplay.co offers cash tournaments for skill games in almost all countries worldwide including the U.S., and allows gamers to easily make payments via PayPal, Visa and will soon go live with direct-to-carrier billing in selected markets, services available for cash-based skill gaming exclusively on the cashplay.co platform.
