Giant Spacekat’s Anticipated Revolution 60 Kicks Off Today on iPad & iPhone

Story Driven Gameplay and Gorgeous Cinematics Come to iOS Players

Boston, USA -- July 24, 2014 -- Indie game studio Giant Spacekat announced today that the Kickstarter-funded and highly intuitive iOS game, Revolution 60, is now available for download from the iTunes App Store. The game has a free play period for the early stages of the game and a single IAP that unlocks the remainder of the content for $5.99. Revolution 60 will also ship with “The Chessboard Lethologica,” an optional companion book, available through iBooks for $3.99, with information about the Revolution 60 universe. Featuring a highly cinematic play experience supported by professional voice actors Marieve Herington and anime legend Amanda Winn-Lee, Revolution 60 is a story of intense character conflict where the main character lives or dies based on the player’s choices. The branching narrative takes gamers through 26 different battles - including four mini-boss battles - eventually leading them to any of 24 different ending variations and providing hours of replayability.

“We are thrilled that Revolution 60 is now available for players to dive in and enjoy. The last several months have been spent polishing gameplay features and graphics, and we know that casual and hardcore gamers alike will love the result of our efforts”, said Brianna Wu, Head of Development at Giant Spacekat. “Every choice players make in the game impacts the gameplay and outcome, so choose wisely and kick some ass”!

Years in the future, in Revolution 60 an American orbital weapons platform has drifted off course, threatening an international incident. Chessboard, a special ops group led by an artificial intelligence, has tasked a team to rendezvous with the station and regain control. In this crucial mission players are cast as Holiday, a Chessboard assassin who must decide if her loyalty is to her friends or to the mission. Featuring a fully voice acted all female cast, players undertake a series of missions, and make difficult moral choices that have significant effects on the game outcome so that every ending is different.

Featuring detailed animations using the Unreal engine, including full facial animation, Revolution 60 also provides fluid combat, optimized for touch screen and three levels of difficulty: Beginner, Normal and “Girlfriend” (Expert) Mode. As players progress through the game’s 26 different battles, enemies constantly adapt and gain new abilities. The player also gains new abilities, choosing from a skill tree to customize their character to their personal strengths.
