Plymouth studio grows with a senior hire; Gareth Lewis to oversee all technical development following work with Lionhead and Goldsmiths University, London.

Remode has confirmed the appointment of Gareth Lewis as Technical Director to oversee all development at the Plymouth based studio, this year named in The Develop 100 for the first time. Gareth Lewis, a Plymouth local with twenty years experience in the games industry, is known for overseeing engineering outputs at Lionhead, where he led on technical development for the 2005 strategy game hit Black and White 2. Lewis has also developed Goldsmiths Universityrsquo;s first postgraduate games degree and served as lead programmer on Bloodforge, a Microsoft 1st party game for Xbox360 using UnrealEngine 3. He joins Remode on Tuesday 27 August, as the studio is in full development mode for its upcoming multiplayer strategy game release Burrow, due out in 2014: http://www.burrowgame.com
