Gaming Face Off Awards Over $50,000 in Cash and Prizes

Top three finalists in Great Canadian Appathon2 show off their games to a panel of celebrity judges

Toronto, ON— October 28, 2011?— Fuelled by pizza and energy drinks more than 400 students across Canada worked non-stop over the weekend of September 30 th to develop 88 mobile games. Presented by XMG Studio and the National Post, the Great Canadian Appathon 2 gave students the opportunity to win over $50,000 in cash and prizes, get their game published and even win a chance at a job in the games industry at XMG Studio. At the Grand Finale sponsored by KMPG on November 2 nd, the top three teams will play their game live in front of a panel of judges. They will be competing for bragging rights, Great Canadian Appathon 2 supremacy and a chance to win the $25,000 grand prize. The Event will take place on November 2 nd at the Real Sports Bar&Grill.
