Free Lunch design acquires Dark Nebula

The popular series of iOS games, Dark Nebula, has been acquired by Gothenburg-based outfit Free Lunch Design.

With over six million downloads and counting, Dark Nebula creator Anders Hejdenberg believes the acquisition was a natural fit to preserve the legacy of the series.

"With a huge fan base and great expectations for new episodes, it was incredibly important for me to find a buyer in which I had 100% confidence regarding creativity", Hejdenberg said.

The game has garnered rave reviews from critics as well as the gaming fraternity – and can count Magnus Alm, CEO of Free Lunch Design, as a fan.

He said: "We regard this as a vote of confidence. We love the game and feel privileged to carry on the legacy created by Anders. More info about the future of the series will be released shortly."

To celebrate the occasion Dark Nebula 1 will be free and Dark Nebula 2 will be sold at half price during the weekend of Friday the 9th of March until Sunday the 11th of March.
