Final in Southeast Asian Region of GNGWC2011 to be Held in Bangkok for the First Time!

Final in Southeast Asian region of GNGWC 2011 (Game&Game World Championship 2011), a global online game contest hosted by Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA, representative Jae-Woong Lee), will be held on October 8, at Central World Cyberia Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.

Final in Southeast Asian region of GNGWC 2011 is held only with 2 games– SHOT Online and ACE Online, unlike finals held in other regions. In online preliminaries which began on Sep 1, about 600 users participated in two games and 23 players made it to the final.

Since it’s firstly held in Thailand, entrants for SHOT Online, a regular event in GNGWC, and ACE Online are veiled until now. And it seems like unpredictable and exciting games will be made because of this reason. Through the final, the birth of a new star player is looked for as well.

Both SHOT Online and ACE Online are conducted as a tournament and only rank 1 and 2 who make it to playoff are granted qualification for grand final held in Korea. For 3 rd place, iPod Touch is given as a prize, and luxury headphones will be provided to all finalists.

“AS GNGWC celebrating 6 th anniversary, we came to pioneer new region for final. We’re going to put more effort for expanding the base of Korean online game by pushing ahead with more competitions from diverse countries like Thailand”, KOCCA said.

Meanwhile, GNGWC2011 finishes finals in overseas areas with the final held in Thailand and will select the last entrants for grand final through final match in Korea which’s going to be held in Suwon, Korea, on Oct 29. Representative players from each region in the world will contend once more for a grand final, which will be held in BEXCO, Busan, Korea, on November.
