e-virtuoses 2013: a prestigious co-presidency for the Awards and Scientific Symposium

Chris Crawford and Gilles Brougère take the reins from Molly Kittle and Pamela Kato

Valenciennes, France– 28 March 2013

Following in the footsteps of Molly Kittle, president of the‘e-virtuoses awards’ 2012, Chris Crawford takes on the task of guiding the international jury in 2013, as they select the best Serious games dedicated to health, training and communication.

Chris Crawford and the members of the jury will also bring their expert opinions to bear in the two new categories being presented for the very first time in France this year: Serious Gaming and Gamification. Through these awards,‘e-virtuoses’ is aiming to shine a spotlight on the wealth of play-related tools and processes that now play a key role in industry and research.

The‘e-virtuoses’ scientific symposium will be presided over by professor Gilles Broug?re from the university Paris 13 who takes over from Pamela Kato. In addition to introducing his own work in the field of games dedicated to education, Gilles Broug?re’s mission will be to act as key witness to the proceedings. The ultimate aim of the symposium is to produce a conclusive summary of activities in the field and define the key trends. It’s a complex intellectual game, but one which is vital to ensure that the symposium makes a significant contribution to the ludology research community.
